Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

This procedure is also known as a “tummy tuck.” It is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 3–4 hours. The abdominal muscles are repaired, excess skin and tissue are removed and the belly button is moved to a higher location. This procedure will restore the youthful abdomen after having one or more pregnancies. It may also be performed for patients who have had bypass or bariatric surgery to lose weight.
