Surgery of the eyelids removes excess skin and fat. It is also called blepharoplasty. Upper and lower eyelids can be done separately or all four eyelids can be done together.
The results are very long lasting and the surgery rarely needs to be done a second time as the patient ages. Often eyelid surgery is the first cosmetic procedure that a patient will have. The procedure will take between ½ and 1 hour.
