This procedure takes approximately six hours and is always done under general anesthesia. A hospital stay is usually not required. It is done most often for patients who have had bypass or bariatric surgery losing 100 pounds or more. This will lift the lateral thighs and buttocks. A beltline incision is used. Return to normal activity can take up to two weeks.
