What is Ultherapy™?
Ultherapy™ is an FDA approved, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that uses the body’s regenerative to lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck to restore a youthful appearance. Why is Ultherapy™ unique? Using ultrasound imaging enables the doctor to see the layers of tissue targeted during treatment. The energy is delivered to where it will be most beneficial.
Is Ultherapy™ a replacement for a facelift?
Ultherapy™ treats the tissue targeted in cosmetic surgery, but will not give the results of a facelift. This non-surgical ultrasound treatment is for patients not ready for surgery or for those looking to extend the effects of cosmetic surgery in later years.
How is collagen stimulated by Utherapy™?
Ultherapy™ regenerates collagen with its focused ultrasound energy deep beneath the skin. Through a natural process of neocollagenesis your body produces new collagen for a noticeable natural result.
How long is the Ultherapy™ treatment?
This will depend on your individual treatment plan. A face and neck procedure is 60-90 minutes.
What is the pain and recovery?
Ultherapy™ is non-invasive, so there is no down time. Most patients do experience pain but they will feel the sensation of the treatment. Treatment is customized for every patient.
When will I see results?
You may see initial effects, but more youthful-looking skin will improve over the next 2 to 3 months. Since the procedure is stimulating your collagen production the results are individual. The addition of collagen often continues for 6-9 months.
